Annabelle’s Bistro
Fall 2008 – Spring 2009
Position: Lead Modeler and Animator for Man
Annabelle’s Bistro is a 3D animated short being created as a class project. This short is using a unique, stylized type of animation in order to tell the story of a man attempting to order food at a small café in Paris. Fall of 2008 was used as the time for the class to learn Maya, with much of the environment being created during this time. My position in the development of the short is that I model all of the parts of the character of the man in Maya and animate those parts. After the animation process is complete, the finished scenes are brought into After Effects were eyes and mouth are added in, and final tweaking is done.
Annabelle’s Bistro Podcast
Fall 2008 – Spring 2009
Position: Co-host
This is the podcast for the short Annabelle’s Bistro. The podcast began as a class project for another class and was continued after that class had ended because the short was not complete yet. I co-host with another student in the class as well as our teacher and we have two different formats that we use: updates and breakout. Update podcasts deal with the current state of the short and breakout episodes are not necessarily about the short but the topics discussed during the podcasts deal in some way with 3D works. There are currently over a dozen episodes for the podcast.

The Oresteia
Fall 2008
Positions: Head of R&D, Visual Effects Specialist, and Watchout Operator
A cooperative venture between the Multimedia and Theater departments at Bradley. During the first phase of development I was in charge of the Research and Development team that was in charge of looking into, and testing, ways of fulfilling the vision we had for the final production, this included 3D projection technology, the program Processing for real time motion tracking, and ParticleIllusion for particle creation, among other items. The second phase had me working with After Effects in order to create moving backdrops, eternal beings, and gods. The final phase of production was the play, where two others and I used a Watchout system to coordinate the media created with the actors during live performances.
Bradley Renaissance Gala
Spring 2008
Position: Interactive Content Developer
The Renaissance Gala was the culmination of a semester worth of work by over 40 students and dozens of professionals to put on a benefit for the Bradley Universities Renaissance Campaign, which was about raising money for school expansion. My part in the Gala was working with a small group of students and two teachers in creating a trivia game that participants would use their cell phones to text in their answer to a computer that would keep track of who got it right in real time. The other portion of the Gala that I worked on was the “Memories” portion of the night, individuals could text in their favorite memories of Bradley and after being screened by two operators, would be projected onto the stage for all to read.
